What’s Up Next – Some Notes

Hi all

We have a full schedule next week. First off, we will see the first article from our new writers, Dean Johnston and Laynni Locke. They will be contributing articles on travel on a regular basis. They have been traveling extensively for the last 15 years or so and I believe are up to 80 countries at this time. They are currently in Crete as part of a 3 month journey in Europe. Look for the first article to drop on Monday November 8, 2021. A big welcome to them.

A new series that will appear regularly is “Saturday Supper”. In this, we will take you through a dish from scratch with a recipe and hints. We will also comment on the wine we enjoyed with the meal and give you comments on the meal itself, thumbs up, or thumbs down. I f you are interested in participating with an article, please submit to us and we will take a look at it. The current email address to use is johnlorieh@gmail.com

We will be adding an article on Revolution Engine, a band that was on the recent Rise Up tour in Alberta. Kenny Canoe, the front man for he group, will be on a podcast with Don Pearse’s show on November 11 on Kat Country Radio.

I will be interviewing Tim Steinruck, a man of many bands, and all round Canadian talent, on November 15th, so watch for that article to drop later that week.

We will be coming to you from Mazatlan, Mexico on November 22 so watch for some reviews of bands, restaurants and things to do in this great city. The bands are top notch, the venues are great and the food is fantastic. And a huge ex-pat population as well.

There will also be some regular features as well. We will continue to countdown the all time Canadian songs, find a few more random bands and search for more golden indie artists wherever we find them.

And remember, if you have an itch to write, we are wide open for contributions. If you blog we will highlight your page and feature your posts. If interested, submit a link, or a file to johnlorieh@gmail.com
